Terms of Service

These terms apply to the Boops desktop app, mobile app, CLI, the hosted web app at app.getboops.com, the Boops Connect relay, and this website (together, "Boops"). Boops is operated by Peter Szoke ("we", "us"). By using Boops, you agree to these terms.

The software

The Boops source code is open source under the MIT License, which governs your use of the code itself. These terms cover the apps and online services we run.

Your account

Some features, such as Boops Connect, need an account. Keep your sign-in credentials secure; you are responsible for activity under your account. You must be at least 16 years old to create one.

AI providers

Boops connects to AI providers such as Anthropic and OpenAI using your own accounts and subscriptions. Your use of those providers is governed by their terms. We are not responsible for their services or the output their models produce.

Your machine, your responsibility

Bots you run in Boops can read and change files, run commands, and act on your behalf on the machines you connect. You decide what they can do, and you are responsible for reviewing their actions and for the content and code they produce on your behalf.

Acceptable use

  • Do not use Boops to break the law or infringe the rights of others.
  • Do not attack, overload, or try to gain unauthorized access to Boops Connect or other users.
  • Do not use the relay to distribute malware or abusive content.

We may suspend accounts that violate these rules.

Availability

We work to keep Boops Connect running but do not guarantee it will always be available. We may change or discontinue features. Boops is in early access and may contain bugs.

Disclaimer and liability

Boops is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, or for lost data or profits, arising from your use of Boops. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains what data we collect and how we use it.

Changes and termination

We may update these terms and will change the date above when we do. You can stop using Boops at any time, and you can ask us to delete your account.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Hungary, without limiting any mandatory consumer protections where you live.
